How many students are there at TR? Currently 538
What is the “Specials Rotation?” TR students in grades 1-5 have a 4-day rotation with two PE’s, one Art and one Music at the same time every day.  Kindergarten has a 5-day rotation that includes computer lab.
What is the difference between the PTA and the Foundation? Short version:  both organizations enhance the education of TR children; PTA is a national organization that provides advocacy and volunteer support; TRF is a 501(c)(3) public charity that raises money to fund specific programs for TR children
What does the TR PTA offer? About 53 committees that support the day-in-day out education at TR in countless ways:  room parents, Arts Jubilee, Exceptional Children Week, Great Artists, Fall Carnival … just to name a few!
What does the TR Foundation offer? TRF raises funds and supports programs in science/technology, foreign language, the arts and teacher grants.  This year, TRF is funding a full-time science/tech instructor salary, Smart Board purchases, grants for every classroom and grade-level, teacher webpages … just to name a few!
How long is lunch and what does it cost? 30 minutes and $1.60; payable by check or at www.mealpay.com; visitors are welcome, lunch cost is $2.00
When do students go to recess? Daily, usually right after lunch
How often do students go to computer lab? About once a week, and they are learning material that is specific to the Ga curriculum for their grade.  You can access the technology curriculum at www.cobb.k12.ga.us.
Does TR offer a foreign language? No, but TRF facilitates a very reasonably-priced after-school Spanish program
Does TR have a school nurse? Yes, Janis is available from 7:45 – 2:45.  TR PTA funds supplies for our nurse.
What after-school activities are available? ASP, H.O.W.L., Math Olympiad, Science Olympiad, Performing Arts, Kid Chess, Spanish, Juggling Team, Chorus, Art Club and more
