Timber Ridge Times Guidelines

Guidelines For Selecting “Important Dates”: 

• PTA General Meeting Dates (such as the meeting on November 5^th)
• Special Events that encompass the entire school (fall carnival, book fair, Celebrate Families Luncheon, etc.)
• Testing Dates (CRCT Test)
• Holiday’s/Early Release Dates 

Articles that MAY be included in the “In This Issue Box” will be selected from the following:

• Special and Unique Articles (Non-Recurring Articles, i.e., articles that appear in every issue generally won’t be listed in the “In This Issue” box)
• Time Sensitive Articles (for example, a Sally Foster Article)
• Articles about upcoming Special Events (Book Fair, Celebrate Families Luncheon, etc.)
• Articles located on the front page will not qualify for the “In This Issue Box”
• Special Awards (for example an article about a student or teacher who wins a special award or wins a contest like the district spelling bee - this does not include Caught with Character, which is a recurring section) 

As there is limited space in these boxes, if too many articles qualify for placement in one or the other box, a heavier weight will go to articles that are received first.  If too few articles have been submitted, recurring articles will be selected for the “In This Issue” box.  These items are also subject to Editor’s Discretion.

When submitting articles:

• Only fully written articles will be accepted.
• Articles should be in electronic format.
• All graphics / images should be in electronic format and submitted with the article.
• All articles should be approved by both Dr. Doe and your VP prior to submissions to the Timber Ridge Times.
